The Fabrication Quality team is looking for a First Line Quality Manager to support our QMS and compliance. This is a fast-paced position will be supporting Fab level initiatives across all Fabrication Business Units. The candidate will be supporting a salary team coordinating with all levels and functions of leadership within Fabrication Business Units. They will be managing our Quality Management Systems (QMS) compliance audit activities across Fabrication.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages employees who evaluate and ensure that products services and processes comply with customer contract requirements engineering requirements company procedures and government regulations.
Develops and executes business plans policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies to improve performance.
Provides education and coaching on the Quality System.
May make airworthiness determinations on behalf of the company and regulatory agencies.
Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements.
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers stakeholders peers partners suppliers and direct reports.
Manages develops and motivates employees.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5 years of experience in quality compliance or manufacturing roles including at least 3 years leading teams in a fabrication or production environment
Demonstrated knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and experience executing compliance audits corrective action systems and KPI-based risk monitoring
Experience with root-cause problem solving corrective/preventive action processes and tools for tracking closure (e.g. audit systems PASA or equivalent)
Strong leadership cross-functional collaboration and communication skills with proven ability to develop talent drive accountability and report status to stakeholders and executives
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in aerospace/regulated environments (FAA/airworthiness processes) or prior authorization to make airworthiness determinations
Formal training and practical experience with continuous improvement methods (Lean Six Sigma) and deploying quality systems for new product / MBU introduction
