Job Summary
Provide primary health care services and consultation for patients and families focusing on wellness and health promotion and surgical care services as appropriate.
Essential Functions
- Provide comprehensive primary care within the regulatory guidelines set by the State of Michigan and Rural Health Clinic (RHC) Code of Federal Regulations Joint Commission (JC) Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) and other regulatory agencies including performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures prescribing and administering medical treatment and medications; supervising the physician assistants and/or nurse practitioners in order to plan and coordinate patient care; periodically reviewing the clinics patient records if applicable.
- Perform complete screening examinations and routine examinations in order to determine a baseline reflect the nature of the patient visit diagnose and promote good health.
- Perform order and interpret routine laboratory test; notifies patients of results as appropriate and timely.
- Assess information and/or symptoms of patient by phone or other technology (i.e. MyChart) in order to prescribe treatment or refer to appropriate resources.
- Consult and instruct patients in order to provide support facilitate recovery and foster patient self-care at home promotes health through continued follow-up care.
- Participates in the clinic quality improvement activity.
- Performs other duties as needed and appropriate to the scope of practice.

Qualifications
- Required Doctorate Graduate of approved Medical College
- 2 years of relevant experience Clinical experience Preferred
- LIC-Physician (MD) - STATEMI State of Michigan Upon Hire required Or
- LIC-Osteopathic Physician (DO) - STATEMI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
- CRT-DEA Registration - STATEMI State of Michigan Upon Hire required
- CRT-Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA American Heart Association Critical Care (CCU) Intensive Care (ICU) Emergency Department (ED) Cardiology Trauma Care Inpatient Rehab Interventional Radiology Anesthesia Primary Care Dowagiac Primary Care Hartford Primary Care Coloma Primary Care and Walk In Clinic Watervliet SWMC Niles ENT Niles and SWMC Stevensville Walk In Clinic. 90 Days required Or
