Safety Specialist (Associate or Experienced)

Boeing is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Safety Specialist (Associate or Experienced) to lead the Safety DOJO in San Antonio TX and coordinate with the network across Boeing Global Services (BGS) and Boeing.

The Safety DOJO is a hub for safety innovation learning and team building to enhance Boeings safety culture. The successful candidate must be capable to lead and energize conversations to improve workplace safety.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Provides direct oversight of site Safety DOJO serving as a resource and advocate for safety improvement initiatives

  • Assists with the planning implementation and assessment of occupational health and safety improvements to reduce injuries

  • Coordinates implementation of tooling and equipment innovations through partnership with Innovation Cell and Engineering

  • Engages Teammates and serves as primary interface to the site workforce on Safety DOJO initiatives

  • Coordinates with the Safety DOJO network across BGS and the Enterprise

  • Collaborates with Environment Health and Safety personnel on development of new tools and equipment

  • Assists with new hire onboarding and introduction to workplace safety

  • Supports the planning implementation and assessment of occupational health and safety programs and processes

  • Drafts health and safety programs that provide consistent approaches to risk reduction and compliance

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1 years of experience with Environment Health and Safety (EHS)

  • 1 years of experience assessing and evaluating risk

  • 1 years of experience communicating and collaborating directly with internal or external customers peers other employees and all levels of leadership

  • 1 years of experience in aerospace production and maintenance

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelors degree or higher

  • 3 years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Experience in risk evaluation solution development and implementation

  • Experience with policies and systems

Summary pay range for Associate (Level 2): $67150 - $90850

Summary pay range for Mid-Level (Level 3): $82450 - $111550
