Under direction of the Chief Financial Officer the VP Controller is responsible for issues affecting the Associations long range financial soundness as well as day-to-day financial activities. The position is responsible for asset liability management and loan pricing (ALCO) short and long range financial planning financial records and reporting the budgeting process formulation of internal controls audit request and all accounting functions. Provides information and analysis primarily financial in nature which assists in sound economic business decision making.
Education:Bachelors Degree in Accounting or a related field
Experience:6 years of progressively more responsible finance and accounting experience 3 years of supervisory experience preferred
Certifications: Certified Public Accountant Chartered Financial Accountant or Certified Management Accountant preferred
Or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.
Positions in this class typically require: keying talking hearing seeing and repetitive motions. Sedentary Work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift carry push pull or otherwise move objects including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met. The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer screen; and/or extensive reading.
Employees work in an office environment with moderate noise levels controlled temperature conditions and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances. Employees may interact with upset staff and/or public and private representatives in interpreting and enforcing departmental policies and procedures. This position requires approximately 5% travel time.
