Position Overview
This position is responsible for managing complex product liability claims from inception to resolution. This role requires a deep understanding of product liability law strong analytical skills and the ability to negotiate effectively. This role will work closely with legal teams clients and other stakeholders to ensure claims are handled efficiently and in accordance with company policies and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Claims Management: Handle a portfolio of complex product liability claims ensuring thorough investigation evaluation and resolution in a timely manner.
- Analysis and Evaluation: Conduct detailed analysis of claims to determine liability coverage and potential exposure. Review technical documents product specifications and incident reports.
- Negotiation: Engage in negotiations with claimants attorneys and other parties to reach fair settlements. Utilize negotiation skills to minimize company liability while ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive records of all claims activities including correspondence reports and settlement agreements.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams including legal engineering and risk management to gather necessary information and provide insights on product liability issues.
- Compliance: Ensure all claims are handled in compliance with legal requirements company policies and industry standards.
- Reporting: Prepare regular reports on claim status trends and outcomes for management review.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Law Business or a related field. Advanced degree or certification in insurance or risk management is preferred.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in product liability claims handling or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of product liability law and insurance practices.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Confortable attending offices Monday to Thursday Friday work from Home.
