Champion the protection of sensitive healthcare and payment data by developing and enforcing security policies that meet strict regulatory standards like SOC HIPAA PCI and HITECH.
Lead the charge in detecting investigating and responding to cyber threats from traditional attacks to emerging AI-driven exploits while continuously refining our incident response playbook.
Push innovation forward by designing and automating new use cases for advanced detection tools reducing false positives and strengthening defenses across IDS/IPS SIEM EDR and DLP systems.
Shape our long-term security strategy by identifying control gaps evaluating new technologies and implementing scalable solutions that keep us one step ahead of evolving threats.
Mentor and grow future security talent while collaborating with cross-functional teams to weave security into every layer of our systems operations and employee culture.
Stay at the forefront of cybersecurity by leveraging frameworks like NIST AI RMF assessing risks from AI/ML systems and driving proactive defenses to protect against tomorrows attack vectors.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS FOR CREATING A LASTING IMPACT
Alegeus colleagues are known as problem-solvers risk-takers and innovative thinkers. As a Sr. Information Security Analyst these skills are essential for success:
Abilities: Proven expertise in security operations including hands-on incident response threat detection and use of tools such as IDS/IPS SIEM NDR EDR firewalls and vulnerability management platforms; familiarity with AI-driven threats scripting/automation (e.g. Python PowerShell) and regulated environments like healthcare or fintech; industry certifications (e.g. Security GCIH CySA CEH) and strong organizational skills are highly valued.
Experience: 5 years of progressive experience in information security with both operational and engineering responsibilities.
Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Security or related field or equivalent experience.
Location: Hybrid with in office requirement of 25% (Boston MA; Maitland FL; Milwaukee WI)
