Sentar is seeking a Cyber Operations Center Data Protection Analyst in North Charleston SC!

Role Description:

The Cyber Operations Center Data Protection Analyst will be in direct support of the CyOC Event Coordination Lead within the Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC) Atlantic Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) Integrated Product Team (IPT). This role is responsible for conducting Defensive Cyberspace Operations (DCO) to defend subscriber networks with a focus on the DHA Cybersecurity Operations Center (CyOC) coordinating cybersecurity activities to protect information systems against unauthorized activity vulnerabilities or threats. This position will perform initial triage of alerts and associated artifacts within the DHA Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Metrics dashboard conduct preliminary assessments of DLP dashboard alerts and interact with CSSP Insider Threat Operations Cell (ITOC) and DHA J1 Insider Threat to conduct investigations of potential data loss.

Responsibilities:

* Perform initial triage of alerts and associated artifacts within the DHA Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Metrics dashboard.

* Conduct preliminary assessments of DLP dashboard alerts.

* Interact with CSSP Insider Threat Operations Cell (ITOC) and DHA J1 Insider Threat to conduct investigations of potential data loss.

* Support the DHA CyOC within the Event Response (ER) & Spillage team to report track and mitigate events to the J6 Chief Information Officer/Chief Information Security Officer (CIO/CISO).

* Develop documentation including standard operating procedures process models flow charts templates and forms to ensure CyOC data protection and compliance activities are comprehensive and repeatable.

* Adhere to and implement DHA policies and procedures while coordinating event response activities in areas including Cybersecurity Incident Response Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI) spillage including breach of Privacy (PII/PHI) and Classified National Security Information (CNSI) spillage.

* Coordinate event response activities with internal entities including collaboration with the Insider Threat Operations Cell (ITOC) and DHA J1 Insider Threat.

Qualifications:

Clearance Level: Secret

Education: Bachelors in a relevant field examples include: Cyber Security Information Technology or related discipline is highly recommended.

Certifications: IAT II

Experience:

6 years of technical experience with a Bachelors degree or 10 years of technical experience.

* Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity policies procedures and regulations
* Knowledge of incident response and handling methodologies
* Knowledge of network security architecture concepts including topology protocols components and principles
*Ability to read interpret and implement technical policies and procedures related to information systems and information systems security.
* Proficiency with written and oral communication on technical subjects
* Proficiency with general office applications and collaboration tools
* Ability to perform data analytics (e.g. pattern matching data analysis and fingerprinting) from different of DLP solutions
* Knowledge of DLP environments (e.g. network DLP endpoint DLP and cloud DLP)
* Experience of 3 years in a Cybersecurity or Data Protection related role.
