| Job Description | This Data Analyst position is to work with Business Teams and bridge the gap between Judiciary business partners and the technology solution providers by translating business needs into Warehouse solutions for BI.
This Data Analyst position is to work with Business Teams and bridge the gap between Judiciary business partners and the technology solution providers by translating business needs into Warehouse solutions for BI. Data Analyst should have extensive SQL writing experience. This position will also involve identification/Verifications of test plans to ensure that technical solutions meet the needs of the business.
In addition to being experienced in gathering and documenting requirements facilitating meetings and delivering results this person must also be a highly organized self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment.
Responsibilities: -
Collaborate with stakeholders from multiple disciplines to elicit business data and functional requirements into Technical requirements -
The role is to act as a liaison between Judiciary business units and data warehouse technical development team to ensure business requirements are understood and translated into functional and technical requirements. -
Document business data glossaries including business definitions and business rules for technical team to develop logical and physical data model design. -
Data Analysts will understand raw data for various departments and consolidate it into information useful for decision-making by users for Unified Enterprise Judiciary System. -
Translate data requirements into clearly defined and easily understood documents including business use cases process flows data flows business rules data definitions and process-to-data mapping diagrams etc. -
Required experience on SQL writing like DB2 AWS (Dynamo Redshift) as well as have a High-level Understanding of Technical Programing like Java Python Pega etc. -
Work with stakeholders including business and technology SMEs to conduct design sessions/training sessions / demos and to develop user manuals and guides if necessary. -
Work closely with the design and development team to ensure that the technology solution satisfies business requirements. -
Partner with QA team and SMEs to ensure adequate test coverage (relying on own knowledge as well as facilitating conversations with SMEs to identify additional test scenarios). -
Suggest multiple implementation options each with associated risks/costs and where applicable recommend an option -
Assist with troubleshooting and managing production issues when needed Requirements: -

Proven record of strategic thought leadership and ability to drive results -
Success collaborating motivating and influencing stakeholders and partners in various deparments . -
Excellent communicator with superior verbal written technical and presentation skills -
2 3 years of experience with SQL like DB2 (Legacy) AWS (Dynamo Redshift ) is a must. -
Track record of innovation in the everyday as well as development of breakthrough ideas -
Strong attention to detail with the ability to break down project tasks define project scope plan and organize resources to complete projects on time and within budget -
Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills -
5 years of experience with at least 2 years working in a business analyst function supporting data governance and management initiatives is preferred -
Knowledge of SharePoint and JIRA is a plus (Preferred) -
2 3 years of Experience Microsoft Excel Visio PP Docs. (preferred) -
1 year Experience in Data Visualization. (preferred) -
Good Presentation Skills -
