Task and Responsibilities:
1. The Consultant will work directly with the GIP Support Manager other members of the GIP Support Team and other teams within GIS to ensure delivery of high quality solutions and support to the Global IP Practice Group its clients and 3rd party agents.
2. Develop an in-depth knowledge of the Global IP Application suite and how these applications are used by the business.
3. Perform development or modification of code for assigned task and projects
4. Perform application support (bug fixes problem analysis small enhancements generate ad-hoc reports and others)
5. Perform unit testing and where required integration testing (with other team members) of code to ensure accuracy of the finished products.
6. Prepare deployment plans and perform actual deployment to staging and production servers during the defined maintenance windows.
7. Follow the companys standard system development process using the established coding and design standards and standard tools as defined by GIS
8. Report the status of application support and development activities when requested by the GIP Support Manager or Development Team Leader.
9. Analyze and review design specification or requirement from prepared by other team members.
10. Analyze data provided by new clients of the Global IP Practice Group and thereafter process the import of such data into the firms system
11. Perform detailed system design for small developments or for major applications in which prior knowledge has been gained.
Requirements:
2 years Microsoft Development experience using C# Transact SQL programming (within SQL Server 2000/2005) Javascript and OOP.
Prior participation In the full development life cycle
Experience with reporting tools such as Crystal Reports or MS-SQL Reporting Services
Experience in three-tier architecture with SQL backend or service oriented architecture.
Understanding of system development methodology and object oriented design.
