Job Summary

Role Summary

Were seeking a skilled Backend Developer to join our engineering this role youll focus on developing and maintaining the backend infrastructure of our platform ensuring high performance reliability and seamless integration with third-party services. Youll collaborate closely with other developers product managers the implementation teams and stakeholders to deliver features that enhance our users experience and expand our product offering.

Key Responsibilities

Design develop and maintain backend services using PHP and Laravel framework.
Optimize and manage MySQL databases for scalability performance and data integrity.
Integrate and maintain connections to third-party APIs ensuring secure and efficient data exchange.
Write clean well-documented code following best practices and contributing to code reviews.
Troubleshoot debug and resolve issues in production environments.
Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend improvements to our tech stack.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3 years of professional experience in backend development.
Strong proficiency in PHP and Laravel framework.
Hands-on experience with MySQL database design queries and optimization.
Proven track record of integrating third-party APIs (e.g. RESTful services OAuth webhooks GraphQL etc).
Familiarity with frontend technologies like React for collaborative full-stack work.
Experience with version control systems (e.g. Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Preferred Skills

Experience with cloud services (e.g. AWS Azure) and containerization (e.g. Docker).
Knowledge of security best practices including data encryption and API authentication.
Prior work in SaaS or integration platforms.
Experience working the Oracle NetSuite.
