Plumbing Inspector x2

Regulatory Services

Hervey Bay

1x Permanent Full Time

1x Temporary Full Time - up until 30 September 2026

Stream A Level 5 - $93401 (full time equivalent) / $49.55 per hour plus superannuation

  • 9-day fortnight

What we are looking for:

If you are a qualified plumber looking to step off the tools consider this exciting opportunity!

As a Plumbing Inspector you will play a crucial role in administering and enforcing statutory requirements related to plumbing and drainage installations within the building industry.

Another important focus of this role is building strong cooperative working relationships with the community and business owners. You will demonstrate excellent communication skills independence technical proficiency and a focus on safety and compliance.

If you have the required licence please consider joining our team.

What your day will look like:

  • Assessing and issuing of Compliance Permits for plumbing and drainage work to ensure compliance with the provision of relevant Acts Regulations and Council policy and within legislated time frames.
  • Provide accurate and timely information and advice to owners contractors consultants tradesmen etc
  • Independently inspect works in progress for compliance with the Plumbing and Drainage Regulation 2019.
  • Investigating and reporting on illegal plumbing and drainage matters.
