Job Summary

Apprentice Roof Plumber & Qualified Tradesperson

Westmac Roofing & Plumbing Pty Ltd is a small family-run business based in Scarborough with a team of five. The company works across commercial roofing projects throughout Perth including well-known sites such as Hillarys Boat Harbour Austal Ships in Henderson Greenwood Village Shopping Centre Komatsu and others.

The business is currently seeking both a 1st Year Apprentice Roof Plumber and a Qualified Roof Plumbing Tradesperson to join their team.

About the Role

The apprentice will work alongside experienced tradespeople assisting with day-to-day roofing and plumbing tasks. They will be expected to follow instructions support the trades team and ensure work areas are kept safe particularly when working at heights. Attendance at all required TAFE training blocks is essential.

Ideal candidate will have:

Completed Year 12 (preferred)
A strong desire to learn and follow instructions
Enthusiasm reliability and a strong work ethic
Ability to work well in a team
Drivers licence (manual preferred)

Qualified Roof Plumbing Tradesperson About the Role

The successful tradesperson will perform sheet metal roofing work including sheeting guttering downpipes cladding and more. The role requires the ability to work independently and when required supervise others. High-quality workmanship is essential.

Required skills and attributes:

Certificate III in Roof Plumbing
Ability to work within a team
Drivers licence own vehicle and tools
Working at Heights certificate (or willingness to obtain)
Positive attitude and willingness to work at various Perth commercial sites
(Note: Commercial roofing makes up approximately 99% of work)

Essential Requirements (both roles):

Drivers licence (manual preferred)
Good attitude and willingness to work in a team environment
White Card (preferred)
Working at Heights certification (preferred can be obtained)
