Description
The Ambulatory Quality Analyst supports ambulatory quality initiatives and Value-based Programs by collecting validating analyzing and reporting clinical and operational data. This role partners closely with other interdisciplinary team members to ensure the accurate measurement of performance metrics identification of care gaps and translation of data into actionable insights. The Analyst is a key contributor to advancing value-based care regulatory compliance and health outcomes across the continuum.
Key Responsibilities
Data Collection & Validation: Extract clean and validate data from EMR systems payor dashboards registries and population health platforms to ensure accuracy for reporting and decision-making.
Metrics Reporting: Generate timely accurate reports for ambulatory quality metrics (e.g. HEDIS UDS MBQIP CMS quality programs ND Medicaid quality strategy/EQRO BCBSND value-based programs such as BlueAlliance) ensuring consistency with reporting specifications.
Dashboard Development: Build and maintain dashboards and visualizations to monitor trends highlight care gaps and track progress toward performance targets.
Support Improvement Initiatives: Provide data insights and run charts to inform quality improvement projects led by the RN and other clinical leaders.
Regulatory & Payor Reporting: Assist with preparation and submission of required state federal and payor quality reports ensuring compliance with specifications.
Collaboration: Partner with the RN and interdisciplinary teams to align clinical documentation workflows and interventions with population health goals.
Data Stewardship: Maintain audit-ready documentation ensuring that data definitions methodologies and reports are consistent with regulatory and payor standards.
Continuous Learning: Stay current on emerging reporting requirements value-based program measures and population health analytics best practices.

Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or GED required. Additional coursework or certification in healthcare HIM IT or data analysis preferred but not required.
Experience:
At least 1 year of healthcare clerical billing HIM registration or quality support experience required.
Prior exposure to data entry reporting or EMR systems preferred but not required training will be provided.
Familiarity with Microsoft Excel required; experience with EMR systems population health platforms or dashboards.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reporting.
Ability to learn new data systems and tools with training.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Interest in healthcare quality population health or process improvement.
