Position Summary:
The Marketing Specialist assists with all administrative department needs to ensure a smooth rollout of the marketing campaigns onboard. This person will serve as the Marketing Manager s right hand creating marketing assets and campaigns organizing digital assets and creating post-event reports and negotiating category specific marketing spaces to drive marketing revenue. The position will work closely with the Marketing Manager to manage all aspects of vendor event planning logistics and invoicing.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Negotiates category specific marketing activations and coordinates the roll-out of these activations onboard. Responsibilities include communicating with vendor on all available marketing spaces and putting together a yearly plan compiling vendor assets ensuring campaign collateral is allocated produced and delivered onboard on time maintaining vendor investment logs budget tracking vendor invoicing.
- Submits artwork to agencies for production/installation of all marketing campaigns and follows through to ensure a smooth rollout of the marketing installations. Coordinates and schedules ship visits for agencies and provides scope of work and instructions of placement of all marketing touchpoints and assets on-board to Operations team and Onboard teams.
- Ensures all physical collateral is ordered from distribution centers and shipped to vessel (for example GWPs glorifiers). Works closely with Logistics Team and Planning Team to ensure merchandise arrives on time.
- Creates and maintains marketing documentation and presentations. Assists with quarterly post-event reports and analysis presentations to share results of all marketing activations with cruise line brand partners and internal teams. Maintains and updates monthly Marketing reports for onboard teams to be aware of all special events special price offer updates.
- Responsible for preparing and submitting all digital assets to cruise line. Will act as digital gatekeeper maintain library of artwork digital assets templates price communication templates digital signage photos and videos.
- Maintains knowledge and stays current on industry and innovative marketing trends which impacts design best practices.
- Continually develop new skills and expertise in SaaS.
- Support Marketing Manager to create vision board mood board and creative agency debriefs for overarching marketing campaigns .
- Assists in designing art work and graphics (showcards banners brochures) for marketing campaigns using Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop and Adobe InDesign) when applicable.
- Supports in special assignments as requested by leadership.

Financial Responsibilities:
- Responsible for compiling SPO Estimates quarterly and compiling Finance SPO results for invoicing.
- Compiling staff incentive reports from ships sending to appropriate vendors for approval and processing with People & Culture to ensure payout.
- Maintains Investment Log with all invoiced items classified correctly rental fees production & installation spiffs SPOs rebates.
Qualifications:
- A Bachelor s degree in Business Administration Marketing Graphic Design or related field
- 2 years of experience in retail marketing trade marketing or FMCG industry (cruise retail travel retail or luxury retail a plus).
Knowledge and Skills:
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (especially MS Excel); Experience in Adobe Creative Suite (In-Design Photoshop at a minimum) highly encouraged.
- Highly creative with a good eye for visual design and branding.
- Experience with SaaS preferred (SAP PowerBI) and a desire to learn new technologies .
- Strong communication skills with the proven ability to build and sustain relationships.
- Strong sense of urgency can handle tasks quickly and meet strict deadlines.
- Detail oriented with a systematic way of organizing and setting priorities based on business needs; A pronounced can-do attitude complemented by the capability to multi-task and the flexibility to handle changing requirements in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
