Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Tableau Platform Administrator to manage maintain and optimize our Tableau environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on expertise in Tableau Server/Cloud administration user and license management performance tuning and ensuring high availability of the platform. The role requires working closely with BI developers data engineers and business stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of analytics solutions.

Responsibilities:

Install configure upgrade and maintain Tableau Server/Cloud environments.
Manage user authentication permissions groups and licensing.
Monitor and optimize performance scalability and availability of Tableau platform.
Configure and manage Tableau extracts schedules subscriptions and data sources.
Troubleshoot server issues logs and coordinate with vendor support when required.
Implement security policies and best practices for data governance and access control.
Perform regular backups disaster recovery planning and environment health checks.
Collaborate with BI/ETL teams to ensure smooth integration of data sources.
Support migrations patches and upgrades in line with enterprise standards.
Document administration procedures and provide end-user support when required.

Required Skills:

7 years of overall IT experience with 3 years in Tableau Server/Cloud Administration.
Strong understanding of Tableau architecture clustering high availability and scalability.
Experience with user/role-based security models authentication (SSO SAML Active Directory OAuth etc.).
Proficiency in troubleshooting performance issues and log analysis.
Hands-on with Tableau Prep Data Extracts and automation using Tabcmd/Tabadmin/TSM or REST APIs.
Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases (Oracle SQL Server Snowflake etc.).
Familiarity with Linux/Windows server administration scripting (Shell Python PowerShell).
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) for Tableau hosting is a plus.
Excellent problem-solving communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

Tableau Server Certified Associate or Tableau Certified Professional.
Experience in large-scale enterprise deployments and multi-node Tableau clusters.
Familiarity with monitoring tools like Splunk Dynatrace or equivalent.
