Job Title: Policy Service Specialist
Work Location: Howell MI Worcester MA Windsor. CT
Job Type: Temporary Assignment
Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.
Position Overview/Summary:
- Under direct supervision this Policy Services Specialist will work from a variety of established procedures to provide support to the respective ML Operations business unit.
- Duties and tasks are varied but standardized and may be of a confidential nature. Resolves routine questions and problems and refers more complex issues to higher levels.
- Aids in the servicing of policies by processing requests troubleshooting inquiries answering questions and performing varied tasks.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Provides processing support to the business unit and ensures timely and accurate reporting to outside entities.
- Prepares reports and correspondence.
- May provide some telephone and administrative support.
- Maintains data files including basic Excel spreadsheet work preparing outgoing mail and correspondence and legal notices.
- Maintains integrity of policy supported documentation.
- Interfaces with other team members to collaborate on daily work or assignments.
- May provide support as needed to other areas.
- Frequent interface with team members and other colleagues providing exceptional communication skills both verbally and written
Required Qualifications Skills and Experience:
- Requires 1-3 years of related of related secretarial or administrative experience.
- Working knowledge of insurance experience a plus.
- High School Diploma required; continuing education preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication interpersonal and organizational skills required.
- Ability to confidently communicate and partner with operations manager and other team members in the department.
- Must be a polished candidate with an energetic personality and eagerness to learn the industry.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office e.g. Outlook Word and Excel; MS Access knowledge a plus.
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- Ability to use a personal computer and other standard office equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time.
