Job Description:

This position is in the Materials Science Lab in the client Fremont CA.
It is a part time position for 3-4 days per week.
Goal of the work is to test the media from hard drives for trace amounts of metal impurities.
Your job will be to prepare different concentrations of acidic and basic solutions making calibration standards and cleaning glassware.
You will also prepare samples through aqueous extractions.
This requires manual dexterity focus and the ability to properly use a pipette.
Must have chemistry experience and experience with analytical instrumentation especially Inductively Coupled Mass Spectrometry.
Ability to troubleshoot instrumentation load samples and develop methods are a plus.
Must be able to work independently and stay organized.

Required Skills:

Background in chemistry or biochemistry.
No electrical mechanical or software background.
Someone who has worked in an analytical lab Experience with MS Office and can perform data entry into excel and statistical software.
