Job Summary
Job Summary: Network Permitting Specialist
- Oversee and manage zoning and permitting activities for telecommunications infrastructure projects
- Prepare and submit entitlement (zoning and permitting) applications and monitor their progress
- Collaborate with local jurisdictions to ensure compliance with municipal state and federal regulations
- Work closely with internal engineering construction and legal teams throughout permitting processes
- Serve as the subject matter expert on state and local telecom codes and federal wireless deployment legislation
- Produce and coordinate permit drawings and construction documents for network builds
- Provide timely updates and clear communication to internal and external stakeholders
- Attend and represent the company at municipal meetings to secure zoning approvals
- Maintain strong relationships with municipal staff inspectors councils and neighborhood groups
- Track and report financials related to zoning and permitting activities ensuring collection of reimbursable expenses
- Support the closeout of building permits upon construction completion
- Conduct permitting research and provide guidance to internal teams
- Assist legal teams with agreements and compliance matters related to permitting and zoning
- Work in a hybrid schedule; local travel to municipalities may be required
- Requires a bachelors degree in business planning or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Minimum two years experience in planning zoning land use or telecommunications industry
- Strong communication organizational and problem-solving skills required
