Monitor SCOM dashboards to identify critical system issues and proactively address potential problems.
Configure notification methods (email SMS ticketing systems) for alerts based on severity levels.
Management Pack Configuration:
Install configure and customize management packs to monitor specific applications and technologies.
Develop custom management packs to address unique monitoring requirements.
Performance Analysis:
Analyze SCOM reports and performance data to identify trends and potential bottlenecks in the IT infrastructure.
Generate customized reports for stakeholders to provide insights into system health and performance.
Troubleshooting and Remediation:
Investigate alerts and troubleshoot issues identified by SCOM collaborating with other IT teams to resolve problems.
Identify root causes of performance issues and implement corrective actions.
SCOM Administration:
Manage SCOM infrastructure including the management server data warehouse and reporting components.
Perform SCOM upgrades and patching to maintain the latest features and security updates.
Manage user access and permissions within the SCOM console.
Integration with Other Systems:
Integrate SCOM with other IT management tools like ticketing systems change management platforms and service desk applications.
Required Skills and Experience:
Technical Expertise:
Deep understanding of Microsoft System Center Operations Manager (SCOM) architecture and functionalities.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems and related technologies.
Familiarity with scripting languages like PowerShell
Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
Experience in designing and implementing monitoring solutions for complex IT environments.
Proven ability to troubleshoot system performance issues and identify root causes.
Communication and Collaboration:
