Position Overview:
We are seeking a Tax Research Analyst to join our team. This role involves conducting research using online resources handling documentation and directly communicating with tax agencies to resolve inquiries. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented resourceful and possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform tax-related research using internet resources and internal tools.
Draft and maintain documentation in Microsoft Word and manage data in Microsoft Excel.
Communicate with state and federal tax agencies via phone and email to gather or verify information.
Assist in preparing reports and summaries of findings.
Ensure accuracy compliance and timeliness in all research activities.
Qualifications:
Proficiency in Microsoft Word Excel and internet-based research.
Strong communication skills with the ability to handle professional phone conversations.
High attention to detail and organizational skills.
Prior experience in tax accounting or research roles preferred but not required.
