Purpose
To serve as the chief administrator of the school in developing and implementing policies programs curriculum activities and budgets in a manner that promotes the educational development of each student and the professional development of each staff member. The cardinal goals in this regard are to promote:
- Academic excellence
- Moral excellence
- Superior management system of international standards
- Growth of the school
Reporting
The administrator will report to the School proprietress. Reporting directly to the administrator are:
- Deputy administrator
- Head of junior school
- Head of senior school
- Director of studies
- Academic consultant
Duties
- The administrator supervises all school personnel (both teaching and non-teaching staff) directly and/or indirectly and defines the responsibilities and accountability of staff members and develops plans for interpreting the school program to the entire workforce.
- General Planning: conceptualizes the broad goals of the school and plans accordingly to ensure that procedures and schedules are implemented to carry out the total school program.
- General Coordination: ensures that the school program is compatible with the legal financial and organizational structure of the school system.
- School Objectives: identifies the annual objectives for the instructional extracurricular and athletic programs of the school.
- Curriculum Objectives: ensures that instructional objectives for all subjects are developed and involves the faculty and others in the development of specific curricular objectives to meet the needs of the school program. The administrator will ensure the curriculum adequately prepares the students for both national and international exams (e.g SAT IGSCE etc).
School Enrolment: develops and implements an effective marketing strategy to enlarge the school enrolment rapidly and in accordance with the yearly targets set by the school proprietress.
Requirements:
- Prefered candidate should have considerable experience as administrator in startup of international high schools.
- Non-Nigerians prefered for this position. Candidates who fit from other african coun tries can apply.
Compensation:
- Compensation budget is competitive and open to negotiation.
