WELCOMING YOU TO THE TEAM
You will join the Engineering and R&D section within the Power Transmission (PWR-T) Business Group. The Engineering Management department plays a critical role in delivering engineering leadership across tenders studies and projects covering cable marine and land installation engineering. The team typically consists of 2030 Engineering Managers (EMs) and you will lead them as a line manager. You will report to the Head of Engineering and R&D and be based in either Halden or Oslo. The role involves close collaboration with other departments across Nexans and external partners.

As Department Manager you play a key role in shaping the future of our Engineering Management team. You ensure the right competence and capacity are in place to meet both current and future demands. With purposeful leadership you foster a strong unified team of Engineering Managerssetting clear goals driving performance and championing each team members professional growth.
You take full ownership of recruitment and department structure balancing permanent employees and consultants to build a resilient and agile organization. Through your leadership work processes standards and engineering documentation are continuously improved to meet evolving needs.
As a catalyst for change you lead continuous improvement initiatives and nurture a culture of innovation. You keep a close eye on budget and cost performance securing operational excellence. Your commitment to quality safety and sustainable development is evident in every aspect of your work.
