What Youll Do:

As a Rotating Equipment Reliability Engineer youll be at the forefront of our innovation for identifying analyzing and reducing safety and business risks associated with our Rotating Equipment. In this opportunity you will directly influence how equipment criticality is determined which maintenance strategies are the most appropriate for the equipment and how the sites CMMS is best utilized to achieve the desired result. The Rotating Equipment Reliability Engineer will also be responsible for determining and implementing long-term improvements to the sites maintenance practices with an emphasis on predictive maintenance techniques data-driven decision making and integration of modern technology with technicians on the shop floor.Additionally this opportunity will provide input to the sites long term capital plan across all plant areas. The Rotating Equipment Reliability Engineer will review and provide input into capital projects (managed by others) concerning the reliability and maintainability of planned equipment.Rotating Equipment Reliability Engineerwill also manage capital projects directly related to reliability and maintenance support. The Rotating Equipment Reliability Engineerwill be consulted by and consult with other engineering and craft disciplines like Maintenance Planners Process / Project Engineers Multi-craft Maintenance Technicians and related roles

What Were Looking For:

• Ensures safe operations by observing all relevant and required Health Safety Environmental and Security (HSES) procedures includes taking action on identified risks from PHA reviews.
• Works directly with Maintenance & Reliability personnel for the implementation of various asset management strategies.
• Responsible for development and oversight of the sites various predictive and preventative maintenance programs that pertain to pumps of all types compressors gear drives mixers blowers including primary and backups as well as critical spares.
• Responsible for development and implementation of strategies for spares & obsolescence management
• Serves as a subject matter expert for rotating machinery.
• Serves as a champion for implementing improvements to shop equipment and maintenance methods
• Provides leadership and technical oversight for the sites criticality analysis and ranking system for utility and process systems
• Provides leadership and coordination for equipment failure related root cause investigations (RCI/RCAs) and follow up actions
• Develops engineering solutions to maintenance problems including methods of reducing or eliminating the need for maintenance through equipment replacement or improvement work
• Scopes estimates and manages smaller capital projects related to maintenance and reliability functions for process equipment and plant infrastructure while ensuring capital projects are completed within the defined parameters for quality schedule and budget
• Assists in updating drawings and maintenance data coordinating this effort with production and project engineering resources
• Participates on teams with operations engineering and maintenance team to identify prioritize and execute plant improvement opportunities
• Supports other plant and departmental initiatives as directed by management

Skills That Make a Difference:

• Bachelors degree in Reliability Mechanical Chemical or Electrical Engineering (or a related discipline).
• 10 years of reliability and/or maintenance experience in a chemical or closely related manufacturing environment
• Experience with:
• Computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) with a strong preference for SAP CMMS.
• Modern maintenance inspection equipment (alignment tools IR / thermal imaging Ultrasonic etc...)
• Precision maintenance practices pertaining to rotating equipment (laser alignment tolerances clearances balancing lubrication management performance evaluation etc)
• Deep technical knowledge of rotating machinery design operation failure modes bearings seals mechanical seals and systems lubrication systems couplings. Including Vacuum Pumps Compressors (dynamic reciprocating and positive displacement) Positive displacement pumps centrifugal API/ANSI pumps chemical applications and metallurgy PositiveDisplacement and Centrifugal blowers and gearboxes.
• Knowledge of thermodynamics and fluid dynamics for compressor and pump hydraulic performance and specification analysis.
• Modern asset performance monitoring techniques (vibration analysis lubrication sampling thermography ultrasonics virtual performance modelling and predictive analysis).
• Practical experience in specification installation commissioning troubleshooting analyzing failures and operational evaluation of rotating equipment.
• Practical application of reliability strategies including spares management RCM RCA FMEA and criticality analysis.
• Good communication ability with management engineers maintenance personnel and plant operators.
• Ability to manage several projects simultaneously keeping them all on schedule and within budget.

Preferred Requirements Experience / Education / Skills And Training

• Industrial maintenance and reliability training or certifications (CRE CMRP or CMRT)

• Familiarity with OSHA Process Safety Management (PSM) and related PSM topics
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 and quality management
