Suburban Hospital is a 228-bed Level II Trauma Center and a community-based hospital in Bethesda Maryland. Suburban Hospital is a member of Johns Hopkins Medicine and has served Montgomery County and the surrounding area for more than 65 years. What you will do:
TheNursing Professional Development Specialist (NPDS)provides education and support for clinical nursing staff on the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Intermediate Care Unit (IMC) under the direction of the Director of Nursing Education. Promotes develops implements and evaluates learning and developmental activities for novice and experienced nursing staff. Creates and updates unit-based orientation guidelines for experienced and inexperienced new hires. Yearly review of orientation materials with centralized NPDS. Provides continuing education to staff on new equipment policies and procedures and in areas of individual or general need. Observe and facilitate learning opportunities for new and experienced staff such as: nurse residency program new grad classes and educational programs such as preceptor and charge nurse workshops.

Salary Range: Minimum 50.81/hour - Maximum 78.75/ will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
