EY GDS Assurance General Operations Manager / Assistant Director

The opportunity:
As a Manager in the EY GDS Assurance General Operations team you will play a pivotal role in leading strategic initiatives driving operational excellence and fostering cross-functional collaboration across global teams. This role demands a high level of leadership maturity decision-making capability and stakeholder engagement to support the evolving needs of the Assurance practice.
You will be expected to demonstrate strong technical and business acumen resolve complex challenges and communicate effectively with diverse audiences. Your ability to build trusted relationships challenge assumptions constructively and guide process improvements will be key to enhancing outcomes and aligning efforts with broader organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities
Lead strategic planning and budgeting across multiple operational verticals.
Oversee high-impact functions including Procurement Mobility Data Governance and Crisis Management.
Develop and present reports and dashboards for senior leadership including budget vs actuals analysis.
Establish benchmarks for operational performance and ensure consistent achievement.
Strengthen relationships with global support functions (e.g. Procurement Travel Facilities Technology).
Drive cross-border collaboration and alignment with international teams.
Identify and implement process improvements for operational efficiency.
Mentor and manage a team providing guidance training and performance evaluations.
Develop and enforce SOPs and policy guidelines to ensure compliance and integrity.
Evaluate complex approval requests and provide strategic recommendations.
Champion innovation and automation initiatives to streamline operations.
Ensure timely execution of projects and manage competing priorities.
Communicate strategic priorities and business impact to teams.
Promote innovation and adopt emerging tools and technologies.
Demonstrate executive presence and lead with confidence.
Foster inclusivity and resolve team dynamics constructively.
Ensure compliance with quality risk and ethical standards.
Support community initiatives and promote responsible practices.

Qualifications
Bachelors Degree Graduate
8 years of relevant experience in general operations office administration vendor management travel/mobility.
Experience in a managerial or leadership role in Accounting / Finance / Professional Services / Travel preferred.
