About the role

Canadian Blood Services is looking for a Regular part-timeDonor Services Representative to join our dynamic Collections Operations West Vancouverteam.

The Collections team is responsible for supporting Canadian Blood Services by collecting donor blood in a safe manner to enable safe products which save lives every this role you will be providing excellent customer service by greeting donors confirming appointments rebooking donors at events and serving potential donors.

Formula for success

  • Your superb communication and people skills are vital to this role as you will play an integral part in building and promoting a positive donor experience and encouraging donations.
  • Your interpersonal skills will allow you to work in a diverse team environment working together to ensure a successful donor centre event.
  • Calling on your organization skills and attention to detail you will ensure the workstation is ready and working properly to support the donor centre. This includes getting the computer and printer ready ensuring the appointment schedule is printed and updating the booking system online.
  • At mobile events within our communities you will assist in setting up booths tables and other equipment to ensure donor clinics are properly set up for use.

Desired education and skills

  • Completion of high school.
  • One year of experience in a hospitality or customer service-oriented environment or previous experience working with volunteers would be considered an asset.
  • Technical skills including Microsoft Word and Outlook and the ability to learn new systems and programs.
  • Typing requirement minimum of 35 wpm.

What you can expect

  • Potential Working Days: Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday and Day: Sunday & Monday.
    Working Hours:1145-1945.
    Working Locations: 4750 Oak St 888 Dunsmuir StAve Surrey and rotating locations around lower mainland.
  • Travel will be required for mobile events and transportation will be provided by Canadian Blood Services.
