Your role

As a Business Controller within the Business Unit Airborne Early Warning (AEW) at Saab you will play a central role in a complex and socially responsible business. Your overall goal will be to generate a positive business impact while ensuring that Saabs accounting rules are followed.

In this critical role you will contribute to the strategic decision-making processes that drive the success of our multi domain airborne surveillance solutions. By providing accurate financial planning monitoring and reporting you will enable the Business Unit to optimize resource allocation identify cost-saving opportunities and enhance overall operational efficiency. Your insights will support the development and delivery of cutting-edge solutions such as the GlobalEye Airborne Surveillance System which are essential for maintaining Saabs competitive edge in the global defence and security market.

You will work closely with both the finance function and the core business becoming an important part of a dynamic team driven by Saabs core values of Drive Trust and this role you will be responsible for one of the companys larger projects and will interact closely with both sales and project managers from business calculations to budgets forecasts and reporting. You will be part of the project steering group and report quarterly to Group management.

Your main tasks will include:

• Project monitoring and reporting

• Financial planning through forecasts budgets and business plans

• Budgeting and forecasting in cooperation with Project Managers and the Steering Group

• Monthly performance reviews and forecast follow-ups

• Providing proactive financial support to bid teams throughout the sales process

• Actively participating in and contributing to improvements and efficiency in processes systems and control of our financial operations

Your profile

We are looking for someone who is analytical communicative and enjoys a role where you can combine independent responsibility with teamwork. You have a strong business acumen and strategic awareness complemented by a relevant academic degree and extensive experience in financial planning analysis budgeting and reporting. Your structure and accuracy enable you to contribute suggestions for improvement and efficient working methods.

We would like to see that you have:

• An academic degree in economics or an equivalent field
• 10 years of experience in accounting auditing or controlling
• A good understanding of financial flows and key figures
• Experience in Business Control
• Good knowledge of Excel and experience working in ERP systems
• Very good communication skills in Swedish and English both spoken and written
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and a solution-oriented approach
• Experience in working in a global company is preferrable

Above all a strong drive and positive attitude will be key to your success.

This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
