Were now looking to appoint a passionate experienced Second Chef to join their dynamic kitchen team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a strong Sous Chef or experienced CDP ready to take the next step in their career. Youll work closely with the Head Chef take ownership in their absence and play a key role in delivering both la carte and function-style menus.
Salary: 15 per hour tips
Contract: Full-time permanent
Hours: 35 hours per week Split shifts (10am2pm / 5:30pm10pm)
Overtime: Available
Holidays: 28 days
Live-in: Not available
Location: On-site must be commutable to SA15 3PJ (driving licence preferred due to rural location)
Support and assist the Head Chef in daily operations
Lead the kitchen in the Head Chefs absence
Prepare high-quality dishes for the la carte menu and function events
Manage kitchen orders and stock control
Conduct regular stock takes and place food orders as needed
Maintain kitchen hygiene and cleanliness to the highest standards
Work collaboratively with a team of 4 kitchen staff
Mentor junior chefs and support training
Must-Have:
Minimum 5 years experience in a professional kitchen
Solid experience with menu planning and prep
Confident in managing kitchen operations independently
Able to thrive in a fast-paced high-pressure environment
Flexible and reliable with a genuine passion for food
Nice-to-Have:
Relevant culinary qualifications
Function and banqueting experience
Own transport (due to location)
