Job Summary

Under broad guidance the Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for:

Operating motor vehicles and heavy equipment of such size and complexity that a Class A Commercial Drivers License (CDL) is required by law.
Performing manual and semi-skilled labor and other assignments as required.

Job Requirements

Education (Required)

High School Diploma or GED.

Experience (Required)

Experience in performing semi-skilled maintenance or construction tasks.
Knowledge of hydraulically operated construction tools interceptor line cleaning heavy equipment backhoes and other heavy construction/maintenance equipment.

Special Licenses (Required)

Must possess and maintain a valid drivers license from state of residence.
Valid Class A Commercial Drivers License with H (Hazardous Materials) and N (Tank Vehicle) endorsements must be obtained within 6 months of appointment to the position or it may result in removal from the position.
