Quality Engineer - Experienced

Janicki Industries is a private and family-owned business based in Washington State with a Layton Utah facility. The Layton Utah facility specializes in machining the largest most complex structures built from carbon fiber composites and aluminum for the aerospace and space exploration markets. The parts produced are installed on todays most advanced fighters bombers rockets and space vehicles. Janicki Industries continues to lead the market with both innovations and abilities alike. At Janicki we work on complex parts and assemblies for aerospace and space exploration markets. We are looking for an experienced Quality Engineer with 3-5 years of experience to join our team.

This position is located on-site in Layton Utah.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a new team member to join us as a Quality Engineer to ensure our products meet internal and external compliance requirements. Successful candidates are eager to tackle large complex projects with interesting problems in a fast-paced team environment.

A Quality Engineer at Janicki works within an engineering team to:

• Develop promote and execute quality standards inspection processes test methodology quality plans documents and reports.
• Create advancements in current quality engineering practices.
• Retrieve review and analyze Quality data including performing trend analysis and identifying quality improvement opportunities.
• Work with process and program owners to prepare analyze and improve quality metrics for management and program reviews.
• Review documents procedures diagrams and/or flow charts to determine if they will perform and conform to contractual AS9100 or QMS requirements.
• Monitor the application of improvement initiatives researching best practices to impact quality improvement initiatives and utilization standards.
• Identify and recommend procedures and work with others to implement and streamline workflows.
• Provide training to enable employees to meet consistent quality standards.
• Participate in internal regulatory and customer audits.

QUALIFICATIONS

Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3).

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelors degree in engineering or other technical field required. Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED
• Manufacturing experience including experience in composite fabrication with practical application of quality assurance a plus
• Commercial/military aerospace experience is preferred
• Must have demonstrated excellent communication skills
• Must have strong computer skills including QA applications word processing spreadsheets and databases

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Salary range for this role is between$80000 - $145000 plus discretionary bonus 401(k) matching vacation and health benefits. Employees can also receive additional pay for off-shifts. The range provided is Janickis estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience location education training skills and abilities.
