Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team and drive the development optimization and security of our Azure-based cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing implementing and managing secure and scalable cloud environments that support our mission-critical enterprise systems. You will act as a subject-matter expert in Cloud DevOps collaborating with cross-functional teams to deploy and optimize containerized applications while ensuring system stability and security. Leveraging your expertise in automation CI/CD processes and cloud operations youll help us achieve seamless deployments and maintain robust performant cloud environments.
Responsibilities:
- Design implement and administer secure Azure environments to support enterprise systems ensuring system stability and scalability.
- Design and implement infrastructure as cose (IaC) automation solutions using tools such as Terraform to manage cloud-based environments
- Act as a Cloud DevOps subject-matter expert driving innovation and sharing knowledge within the team.
- Proactively identify and remediate cloud vulnerabilities to maintain high levels of system security.
- Collaborate with development teams for deployment and infrastructure support of new and existing applications in the Cloud
- Build troubleshoot and optimize container-based cloud environments using tools like Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Drive automation through CI/CD pipelines ensuring smooth deployments using tools like Azure DevOps.
- Stay current with best practices tools and evolving methodologies working within an Agile project delivery framework.
- Partner with developers and engineers to deploy cloud services automate workflows and optimize continuous delivery pipelines.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 5 years of experience managing Windows/Linux environments.
- 3 years of experience in architecture design configuration and deployment on the Microsoft Azure platform.
- 3 years of experience in container-based infrastructure (e.g. Docker Kubernetes AKS).
- 3 years of experience with CI/CD tools and concepts (e.g. Azure Pipelines Jenkins).
- 2 years of experience with HashiCorp Terraform on Azure including writing reusable Terraform Modules.
- Knowledge of relational and NoSQL database technologies (e.g. MS SQL Server Redis MongoDB).
- Proficient in Azure DevOps and its associated tools for CI/CD implementation.
- Solid understanding of networking and security concepts in both production Azure and hybrid environments.
- Hands-on experience with log collection tools performance monitoring and system optimization.
- Extensive scripting expertise in PowerShell or Bash for automation and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of network topologies protocols and security methodologies.
- Nice to Have: Certifications such as Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) or Microsoft Azure Administrator.
Education Requirement:
Bachelors Degree or a minimum of 5 years of equivalent industry experience is required
Base Salary Range: $135000 - $165000
This role is eligible for an annual performance-based bonus
