About the Position Position/Specialty: Ultrasound Tech Shift: 4x10s Mon Tues Thurs 7a-5:30p and Friday 5:30a-3:30p Weekend Req: See shift; only if called in Is on-call REQYes weekend day 7a-7p rotation with other technologists Types of Cases: We perform inpatient outpatient and ER cases Daily Caseload per tech: approx. 15 per tech Will this traveler float between service lines No Floating Req to Sister Facilities: No Required/Preferred Years of experience REQ: 1 year First-timers accepted: Yes National Certs REQ: BLS ARRT (S) or ARDMS Radiation Badge REQ: Yes. Radiation badge MUST be provided by agency; MUSC does NOT provide radiation badges to travelers Required Skills: PACS Portables Procedures. Ultrasonographer who can scan general abd. OB small parts kidney vascular Miscellaneous Open to accommodating block schedule Approval prior to assignment but not guaranteed. Local Radius: 60 miles Locals Accepted: Yes on a case-by-case basis at 10% less the posted bill rate RTO Restrictions for Client Offers: All RTO must be included at time of submission. Approval will be based on facility needs Guaranteed Hours: Facility is allowed to call off 1 shift per 2 weeks. Hospital Highlights Type of Facility: Level II Trauma Total Staffed Beds: 286 Scrub Color: Teal Top and Black Bottom Charting preferred: Epic Parking Cost: None Hurricane Season** Travelers should be aware that during hurricane season all employees and contractors may be assigned to emergency response teams. If this is a problem please ensure travelers do not confirm a NEW or EXT assignment during the season. Hurricane season runs from June through November each year. The peak months for hurricane activity are August and September.
