Job Summary

For more than 35 years VGM Group has been a leader in the post-acute healthcare industry providing an array of services from product distribution to patient care coordination. VGM Group continues to grow and is now seeking an HR Generalist at our VGM Fulfillment warehouse in Lebanon Tennessee.

VGM Fulfillment is a national leader in CPAP machine and resupply order fulfillment. As a 100% employee-owned company every person at VGM hasa personal stakein seeing business succeed. We do this by taking responsibility from our customers for the key operations of order fulfillment: picking packing shipping and inventory management. Our network of fulfillment centers is strategicallylocatedthroughout the United Statesprovidingcoverage to all 50 states. This role needs to be present on-site at our warehouse location inLebanon Tennessee.Our ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience and would also be bilingual (fluent in English and Spanish).

HR Generalist Summary:The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for applying HR policies procedures and programs to the employees of this role the generalist will specifically support employees and managers of the Shiremanstown PA warehouse by responding to HR inquiries and support the Human Resources team in implementing appropriate HR guidelines policies and programs. Experience collaborating with managers and employees to address personnel situations and enforce policies in an appropriate manner is key to success in this role. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is important to success as well.

Working Location: Lebanon TN on-site at VGM Fulfillment warehouse

Reporting Accountability: Human Resource Business Partner

Work Hours Classification:Monday-Friday 8-5pm

Responsibilities of the HR Generalist:

The Human Resource Generalist will be responsible for handling a variety of personnel related administrative tasks and will provide clerical support to the HR department and employees regarding human resources related activities policies processes and procedures. The HR Generalist must be able to communicate and collaborate effectively with management and employees at all levels.

  • Advise employees and leaders on all employee relations matters including but not limited to performance management coaching conduct grievances complaints investigations absences and leaves organizational change and exit interviews
  • Prepare and manage new employee onboarding in partnership with team members and leaders within the warehouse
  • Responsible for people-related metrics and collaborating with corporate data analytics team
  • Facilitates proper employee documentation and records in HR systems compiling reports as needed to ensure employee databases remain accurate and up to date
  • Develop implement reinforce and modify HR policies programs and procedures
  • Audit HR policies programs and procedures against relevant legislation and best practices and recommends improvements
  • Provide advice and assistance to employees and managers on HR policies programs and procedures
  • Resolve HR inquiries or escalates to the appropriate individual depending on severity
  • Assists in the preparation of HR training material and validates Managers and employees are aware of appropriate HR policies programs and procedures and their accountabilities
  • Support the VP of HR in implementing efficiently and effectively talent management programs: performance management succession planning diversity and inclusion and special projects
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and meet project goals
  • Provide support for onboarding and offboarding including managing logistics with appropriate teams (e.g. IT HR shared services) and assisting with exit interviews

KeyQualifications:

  • Bachelors degree (or equivalent) in HR Business Organizational Development or related field
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English in order to effectively support and communicate with VGM employee owners ensuring everyone is heard
  • 2-3 years of experience in a professional HR role preferably in a distribution center warehouse or related industry
  • HR certification or willingness to pursue basic certification
  • Experience working with HR information systems
  • Demonstrated skills with Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Word Excel and PowerPoint)

Physical Requirements:

  • Normal HR Generalist activities may require travel and so incumbents must be able to always obtain and maintain valid travel documentation.
  • Normal HR activities may require working outside of standard business hours (8:00am-5:00pm).
