The William Magee Center for AOD & Wellness Education (WMC) is dedicated to transforming students lives by providing education intervention and support services to enhance well-being and foster success at the University of Mississippi. We host programming and offer services related to holistic well-being substance use and harm reduction and support of students in recovery via the Collegiate Recovery Community. Our goal is to create a culture of well-being at the University of Mississippi by improving access to campus resources and supporting students on their journey to holistic wellness.

Sub-Family - Wellness Education & Programming

Supports wellness programming and goals to promote health and wellness for institutional and external communities. Oversees the operations of the Collegiate Recovery Community (CRC) under the guidance of the William Magee Centers Assistant Director of Student Support. This role requires prior experience supporting the well-being of students who are in recovery from alcohol or other drugs. The primary roles for this position are facilitating recovery meetings supporting student academic success and working with campus and community partners to promote the CRC and student well-being.
These essential functions include but are not limited to the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department.
1. Develops promotional materials newsletters and other marketing plans for wellness programs.
2. Evaluates and updates wellness programs as necessary.
3. Answers questions about how treatment programs contribute to the greater health of the community.
Education: Bachelors Degree
Experience:(3) Three Years Experience
