What Youll Do
- Responsible for successful nuclear and nonnuclear work control operations for Infrastructure and reports to Infrastructure Work Control Manager
- Will lead Work Control Planners in equipment analysis testing operability and asset management work control policies per conduct of operations in nuclear facilities established procedures and precepts of Integrated Safety Management
- Oversee the identification and correction of system deficiencies on production and facility equipment within nuclear and nonnuclear facilities to ensure safe and efficient maintenance tasks
- Ensure accuracy in the interpretation of drawings and designs to meet site conditions manage those that are responsible for correcting technical issues and monitor technical submittals and configuration management as required for nuclear facilities
- Be accountable for reviewing and approving work packages prepared by Planners for craftsman/technicians/operators/support organizations that will execute high hazard and/or nuclear work control strategies on assets that affect operability of high hazard and/or nuclear facilities
- Ensure direct reports perform meetings and field walk downs with customers and all applicable support organizations to accurately identify scopes analyze hazards and prepare technically accurate work control documents
- Manage assigned resources on procedures concerning high hazard identification in a nuclear environment and nuclear work control policies to ensure mission success for required site deliverables
- Work closely with support organizations to ensure successful completion of current and future mission deliverables as it pertains to planned work requests for optimum maintenance craft utilization and schedule adherence
- Manage the performance of direct reports per organizational metrics analysis and backlog management to ensure continuous improvement in Infrastructure Work Control
- Ensure Work Control personnel are trained and qualified to perform assigned responsibilities for high hazard nuclear conditions
- Be responsible for providing direction on organizational goals and procedures for the predictive preventive and corrective maintenance of asset management and work control process for the Y-12 site

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelors degree: Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
- Thirteen (13) or more years of education and/or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years-of-experience requirements for this posting.
- In addition the applicant must meet the requirements of DOE O 426.2A (i.e. High School diploma and 3 years nuclear experience; or a DOE O 426.2A alternative).
Preferred Job Requirements
- Candidate must possess outstanding people skills with the ability to energize organize coordinate and lead groups assigned to the Infrastructure Work Control Organization
- Must have advanced computing skills including Microsoft Office Suite components on CMMS (SAP) and ability to learn and implement PaSTA
