Description
As the Safety Coordinator youll support Meyers safety and compliance programs across all facilities. Youll assist in managing safety policies regulatory compliance and employee training helping to foster a safe and informed workplace. Youll report to the Safety and Fleet Compliance Manager.
What youll do:
- Assist in developing and implementing safety policies procedures and training programs.
- Conduct facility inspections and audits to identify hazards and ensure OSHA and company compliance.
- Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions.
- Track safety metrics and prepare reports for leadership.
- Participate in the safety committee to promote employee engagement.
- Support DOT/FMCSA compliance and maintain driver and vehicle records.
- Deliver safety training for new hires and current employees.
- Communicate safety updates and serve as a resource for employee questions.
- Stay current with OSHA DOT and FMCSA regulations and manage reporting.
- Help develop emergency response plans and coordinate drills.
- Occasional travel to Meyer facilities; some overnight travel may be required.
