As we enter a new phase of growth we are looking for a driven Financial Controller to continue this journey with us.

Your role

We are seeking a dynamic and ambitious Financial Controller to join our finance this role you will oversee A/R A/P as well as fundamental controllership tasks while managing a team of 2 finance professionals.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting and financial management and excellent analytical skills. This position reports directly to the Finance Director while working closely with the CFO. This is a great opportunity for a junior controller looking to grow or a Senior Accountant looking to step up to a controllership role.

Youll make an impact by:

Managing all accounting operations for 5 entities (3 Dutch 1 USA 1 Canada) and more to be set up this year including Billing A/R A/P as well as fundamental controllership tasks.
Preparing and publishing timely monthly financial statements.
Ensuring quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting.
Managing and complying with local state and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
Managing the finance team consisting of Accountant and Finance Assistant.
Helping with further development/implementation of MS Dynamics modules.
Developing and documenting business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
Booking general accrual and journal entries including payroll.
Supporting monthly complex cross-country VAT ICP and other tax filings.
Actively managing cash treasury activities and preparing cashflow statements and projections.
Managing internal budgeting and procurement approval workflows.

What were looking for

You have a Bachelors Begree in Accounting or Finance.
CPA or equivalent is preferred.
5-7 years of overall combined accounting and finance experience preferably in a start up/ scale up.
Experience in a dynamic operations/ manufacturing/ hardware companies is a plus.
Knowledgeable in IFRS including financial reporting requirements in The Netherlands huge advantage if you are knowledgeable financial reporting requirements in US/Canada.
Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
Experience using MS Dynamics a great plus.
Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
Experience with creating financial statements.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
Strong communication skills in English and Dutch is nice to have .

Note: we can offer work permit / visa sponsorship for exceptional candidates. We however currently do not offer a relocation package / remuneration in case you would need to move to The Netherlands for this position. Thanks for your understanding.
