JOB GOAL:The Instructional Coach is a critical partner in improving student achievement by strengthening teachers instructional practices. The Instructional Coach builds teacher capacity and deepens understanding of research-based practices aligned with the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks and district curriculum standards. Through modeling co-planning co-teaching and providing feedback the Instructional Coach promotes reflection collaboration and instructional excellence always centered on student RESPONSIBILITIES:1. Support teachers in implementing high-quality standards-based instruction aligned to the MA Curriculum Frameworks and district curriculum.2. Communicate and model research-based culturally responsive practices that improve student outcomes and classroom environments.3. Build collaborative relationships with teachers and administrators to foster a culture of continuous improvement.4. Model lessons co-plan and co-teach to demonstrate effective instructional strategies.5. Assist teachers with lesson planning pacing differentiation and instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs.6. Provide non-evaluative feedback to teachers to strengthen instructional practice and student learning.7. Facilitate grade-level data meetings and support teachers in analyzing student data to inform instruction.8. Support teachers in integrating instructional technology that enhances teaching and learning.9. Provide job-embedded professional learning and ongoing coaching aligned to school and district goals.10. Design and lead professional development sessions on instructional practices and strategies.11. Participate in professional learning opportunities to stay current on best practices and instructional innovations.12. Maintain a coaching log documenting support provided to teachers and instructional focus areas.13. Communicate regularly with teachers and school administrators to ensure alignment of instructional priorities.14. Perform related instructional coaching duties as assigned by the principal Director of Curriculum and/or the Superintendent.
