Maintenance Trade Helper - Electrical

Full Time
Assists one or more workers in the skilled maintenance trades by performing specific or general duties of lesser skill such as keeping a worker supplied with materials and tools; cleaning work area machine and equipment; assisting journey-level worker by holding materials or tool; and performing other unskilled tasks as directed by craftsperson or parts of a trade that are also performed by workers on a full-time basis. The kind of work the helper is permitted to perform varies from trade to some trades the helper is confined to supply lifting holding materials and tools and cleaning working others they are permitted to perform specialized machine operations. Performs other duties as assigned.

Strongly Preferred - CFC Universal Refrigerant Class A
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Verifiable vocational training or one (1) year verifiable experience working in the electrical field
- Must be able to follow written or verbal instructions.
- Must possess a valid state drivers license
- Must have and wear hard-toed safety shoes which meet ASTM F2413-05 standards
- Successful candidate will be subject to a government security investigation and must continually meet eligibility requirements for access to all areas of Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay.
