About the Role
Umarex USA / Walther USA is seeking a hands-on Controller to lead our accounting operations and financial reporting while also managing and processing the Accounts Payable (AP) function. This role is ideal for a finance professional who thrives in a dynamic environment enjoys rolling up their sleeves and has excellent Excel skills to support reporting analysis and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations month-end close and reconciliations.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Process Accounts Payable transactions including invoice entry coding approvals and payment runs.
- Maintain vendor relationships and resolve discrepancies promptly.
- Support the CFO with cash flow forecasting budgeting and variance analysis.
- Develop and maintain internal controls and assist with audits and compliance requirements.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations for leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field (CPA or MBA preferred).
- 7 years of progressive accounting experience including 3 years in a Controller or senior accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
- Direct hands-on Accounts Payable processing experience.
- A hands-on work style - comfortable managing both detail and big-picture tasks
- Must have experience working with an ERP accounting system including TGI Enterprise 21 (E21) NetSuite SAP Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics.
- Excellent Excel skills (pivot tables advanced formulas financial modeling and data analysis).
- Experience in a multi-company environment is desirable.
- Strong attention to detail organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
