Job Description
SUMMARY:
The Theatre Technical Assistant supports the technical operations of theatrical productions and events including setup operation and maintenance of lighting sound set and stage equipment. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills attention to detail and a passion for the performing arts.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist with lighting and sound setup
- Run lighting and other technical cues
- Support the operation and breakdown of lighting and audio systems
- Maintain equipment and workspaces
- Follow safety protocols
REQUIRED DATES:
Schedule will vary but is flexible.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:
- Current student enrolled at Vanguard University in good standing.
- Vibrant belief in Jesus Christ with ample evidence of personal discipleship.
- Maintain a minimum grade point average of 2.0 each term.
- Demonstrated commitment as a team player to support and collaborate with faculty staff peers and external constituents as well as the initiative and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that will result in effective collaboration.
COMPENSATION:
This position is 10 hours per week at a rate of $16.50 per hour.
