Minimum Requirements:
Bachelors degree in Dietetics Nutrition Health Science or Food Science and two years of related experience; or a combination of education and related experience.
Must be licensed and Registered Dietitian or RD eligible with Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Preferred Requirements:
Masters degree in dietetics nutrition health science and completion of 1200 practice hours is preferred.
Previous experience with college-aged nutrition counseling and disordered eating is preferred.
Basic understanding of food service operations.
Ability to lift 35 pounds.
Flexible schedule to include nights weekends and holidays.
Physical Requirements: Extended standing walking ability to bend stoop reach and climb ladders.
Ability to work in all temperature conditions.

Student Nutrition Services under PantherDining is seeking to hire a Registered Dietitian to provide support to Georgia State Universitys Atlanta and Perimeter Campuses. The Registered Dietitian (RD) provides nutrition counseling medical nutrition therapy (MNT) and nutrition education to Georgia States students.

WHAT WILL YOU DO:
This role requires an emphasis on disease treatment prevention and general health & wellness while providing current evidenced-based interventions and education to college-aged students. The RD position will focus on providing quality client-centered nutrition counseling and MNT for the management of disordered eating diabetes hyperlipidemia hypertension polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) weight management and other nutrition-related concerns. The RD will also provide nutrition education to students through outreach events nutrition-related programming social media and marketing efforts.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
Oversee Student Nutrition Services to include nutrition counseling medical nutrition therapy (MNT) and nutrition education to students at Georgia State University.
Conduct initial and follow up assessments.
Document patient/client interactions in medical charts following the Nutrition Care Process/ADIME format.
Consult with multi-disciplined team for patient/client care.
Provide up-to-date evidence-based interventions and education.
Stay current on emerging nutrition trends/findings.
Lead student and parent communications regarding food aversions and food allergies.
Provide food aversion and allergy accommodations to meal plan holders.
Develop allergy labeling practices.
Assist with menu planning and development.
Maintain analysis of nutrition content of items in the dining halls with Food Pro.
Plan participate execute outreach events and nutrition related programming i.e. cooking. demonstrations health assessments nutrition education tablings.
Provide and coordinate marketing and social media content
Participate in program evaluation and assessment.
Oversee graduate assistants and student assistants.
Maintain registration and licensure.
Consistently promote excellent customer service.
Performs other duties as assigned.
