Job Title: Registered Nurse CVICU
Location: Rochester NY 14621
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Shift: Nights 312 hours (19:0007:00)
Block Scheduling: Not available

Requirements

  • Active NY RN license in hand no exceptions

  • Must be available for holiday coverage

  • First-time travelers welcome

Unit Details

  • Unit Type: CICU

  • Beds: 16

  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend

  • Common Patient Populations:

    • Sepsis

    • ARDS

    • Renal failure

    • Heart failure

    • Pre-VAD workups

    • Alcohol withdrawal

    • Overdose

    • Multi-organ failure

    • Postcardiac arrest / TTM

    • Respiratory failure / shock

  • Advanced Therapies/Equipment:

    • CRRT

    • EKOS

    • IABP

    • ECMO

    • Impella

  • Ratios: Generally 1:2; occasional 1:1 based on acuity
