The Manufacturing Engineer will develop and implement optimal cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards with in the stamping and steel fabrication industry. They will recommend and implement improvements to production processes methods and controls and coordinates manufacturing launch for new or revised products. Responsibilities
Spearhead the engineering and project management for all the parts projects from beginning to end
Working specifically with the automotive customer and their product engineering
Handle the quoting and making the blueprints for products
Follow company Quality policy procedures and proper documentation process.
Practice good housekeeping based on 5S principles.
Report to work every day on time and ready to work.
Analyzes and plans work force utilization space requirements and workflow and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
Investigate operational problems affecting production and resolve in a systematic and timely manner.
Applies common processes and concepts in lean problem solving root cause analysis and waste reduction tools.
Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
Design develop & procure assembly fixtures.
Use & interpret SPC data to develop robust assembly processes
Work with engineering and other departments to produce cost estimates for new designs by estimating TAKT tooling & fixture requirements costs etc.
Requirements
2-3 years of Manufacturing Engineer experience in a role supporting manufacturing operations.
Experience in the fabrication/stamping industry preferably worked on automotive products
BS in Engineering or equivalent.
Advanced Math
Proficient in AutoCAD Pro-E SolidWorks CATIA or ANSI Y14.5
Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.
Designing and troubleshooting PLC systems.
PLC based programming stations and functional testers for mechanical and electronic systems.
