Job Description
- Spearhead the engineering and project management for all the parts projects from beginning to end
- Working specifically with the automotive customer and their product engineering
- Handle the quoting and making the blueprints for products
- Follow company Quality policy procedures and proper documentation process.
- Practice good housekeeping based on 5S principles.
- Report to work every day on time and ready to work.
- Analyzes and plans work force utilization space requirements and workflow and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.
- Investigate operational problems affecting production and resolve in a systematic and timely manner.
- Applies common processes and concepts in lean problem solving root cause analysis and waste reduction tools.
- Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.
- Design develop & procure assembly fixtures.
- Use & interpret SPC data to develop robust assembly processes
- Work with engineering and other departments to produce cost estimates for new designs by estimating TAKT tooling & fixture requirements costs etc.
- 2-3 years of Manufacturing Engineer experience in a role supporting manufacturing operations.
- Experience in the fabrication/stamping industry preferably worked on automotive products
- BS in Engineering or equivalent.
- Advanced Math
- Proficient in AutoCAD Pro-E SolidWorks CATIA or ANSI Y14.5
- Proficient in Microsoft Word Excel and PowerPoint.
- Designing and troubleshooting PLC systems.
- PLC based programming stations and functional testers for mechanical and electronic systems.
