Description

Do you love the game of soccer and want to help young people develop their skills and enjoy the game as much as you do We have just the job for you! The Department of Parks Recreation & Culture Youth Services Division is seeking a part-time Youth Services Specialist to coach instruct mentor and engage high school-age youth in activities related to the game of soccer.


You must have comprehensive knowledge of the functions skills and activities related to the game of soccer including coaching and drills; and you must have some previous experience instructing and/or supervising soccer. You must have a full drivers license (not provisional license) and a valid unexpired Medical Examiners Certificate/Department of Transportation (DOT) physical card (may be obtained through the City upon hire). Must be responsible dependable patient and punctual; enjoy and be confident working with youth; have excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills; and be able to understand follow and provide written and oral directions. Must be able to interact with program participants parents and staff in a positive courteous respectful and professional manner. Must be safety conscious and committed to enforcing safety rules and regulations. Ability to communicate fluently in English and Spanish (desirable).
