As a Setting Out Engineer youll play a key role in ensuring site works are delivered to the highest standards. Your main responsibilities will include:
Full ownership of setting out on site line level and dimensions across all elements of the project
Accurate surveying and control: Carrying out topographical and level surveys pre-start and during the build
Working closely with project and design teams to check layouts and ensure boundaries are correct
Maintaining and updating construction drawings registers and digital records
Using Leica total stations (TS06 / TS12 / TS16) confidently for all site engineering tasks
Taking off and ordering materials for groundwork and RC frame (including rebar waterproofing drainage cast-in items concrete etc.)
Identifying and resolving setting out issues and managing RFIs and technical queries
Supporting the QA process using FlowForma and implementing site Inspection Test Plans
Preparing and issuing as-builts maintaining accurate records and supporting commercial teams with QS data
Raising technical submittals and ensuring compliance with project specifications
Producing and working with CAD drawings where required
Strong technical setting out skills and a methodical accurate approach to your work
Experience working with Leica EDM equipment
Able to manage your own workload and take responsibility for surveying and site engineering delivery
A problem-solver who is proactive in closing out issues
Strong understanding of construction methods sequencing and specifications
Proficient in record keeping QA documentation and as-builts
Keen to progress your career and grow into senior site roles
A team player who contributes to project delivery and works well with other trades
CSCS Engineering/Surveying or Equivalent Qualification
Punctual and dependable with a positive can-do attitude
Eligible to work in the UK
Willing to complete IT induction and training within the first 13 months
