Job Description

At Apple we combine product management/development and product marketing responsibilities into a single cross functional Product Management role that collaborates with design engineering finance legal marketing communications public relations market research sales and support for maximum impact across the are looking for a dynamic highly motivated worldwide Product Manager to join the iPad team. You will be responsible for driving the creation of complex and high impact products that will shape the future of computing including:


  • 5 years of prior experience in product marketing including developing customer insights product positioning and outbound marketing strategy and collateral; and/or experience in product management: driving product requirements and planning product design and development and production
  • Previous success in cross-functional collaboration and management by influence
  • Excellent written verbal and presentation skills


  • Proven record working collaboratively with cross-functional teams: with engineering/technical teams including during early research and development to define product strategy and roadmap and with marketing and public relations to craft positioning and define marketing activities
  • A track record in formulating product messaging and creating outbound marketing; Experience synthesizing technologies into product communication for broad audiences including customers media analysts and leading industry specialists
  • Strong understanding of technology domains and a sense of curiosity to dive several layers deep
  • Best-in-class oral and written communication skills; ability to become fluent in technical concepts and explain to non-technical partners
  • Strong ability to lead through influence debate and storytelling
  • Press and media experience with success as a product spokesperson on a national or global level
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills; thrives in highly collaborative projects effective at building consensus handles high stakes decisions with ease with the ability to cut through ambiguity
  • Strong analytical abilities and an uncompromising attention to detail with the ability to operate seamlessly between highly detailed and technical situations and strategic business situations
  • A self-starter who is dedicated and demonstrates creative and critical thinking abilities
  • BS/BA and/or MBA
