What you will do:
The Quality Manager will direct Quality assurance efforts for the product operations with emphasis on identification and solution of process material or labor problems that could compromise plant and group quality commitments.
Trains staff personnel and applies analytical and statistical analyses to achieve required quality results. Represents the plants from the Quality standpoint in front of customers and suppliers when escalation above the plants is needed.
Coordinates all containment actions for the plants in case of Quality concerns and all the long term and global sharing of best practices and basic standardization regarding to Quality. Supports GISC Quality to drive standardization of processes (quality tools like FMEAs control plans poka yokes testing equipment) and BBPs (technical improvements procedures etc.) across all plants within the Product Operations footprint.
How you will do it:
Develop implement and manage quality systems to drive discipline and continuous improvement throughout the manufacturing process.
Assure compliance with all QS ISO and IATF 16949 requirements and act as the primary plant representative during audits.
Manage the plants Quality team including hiring training performance feedback and professional development for all direct reports.
Manage Quality Assurance Systems including warranty data scrap data customer concerns and SNRs to ensure accurate records and meet customer expectations.
Oversee the annual Quality budget administer process specifications (SCO/DCO Control Plan) and determine the disposition of defective materials.
Review customer scorecards and portals manage corrective/preventive actions and notify customers of any planned changes to product or process.
Provide technical support to customers and suppliers to resolve quality issues and represent the plant in escalated quality matters.
Drive scrap identification and lead plant-wide initiatives for scrap reduction and overall quality improvement.
What we look for:
Required:
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering Technology or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years experience in a Quality leadership role within a manufacturing environment.
IATF/VDA audit experience.
Preferred:
Six Sigma Black Belt certification.
Hands-on lab testing experience.
Six Sigma Green Belt certification.
