Job Description

Hospital Sisters Health System (HSHS) is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic II to join our team. Monitors repairs and performs preventative maintenance on the components of the central utilities plant including but not limited to steam/heating/domestic hot water boilers; generators; heating ventilating and air conditioning equipment; and incinerator (as applicable). Assists with work on other building systems and components. Assists the affiliates with compliance of the environment of care management plans.

oSchedule: Swing Shift 40 hrs/wk every other weekend
oFacility: St Elizabeth Hospital
oLocation: OFallon IL

Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma GED or related vocational training is required

Experience Qualifications

  • Two years plant maintenance required
  • Three years stationary engineer experience preferred.

Certifications Licenses and Registrations

  • Valid state drivers license and must be insurable to operate hospital vehicles is required.
  • Power Plant Operating Engineer Second Class License is recommended
  • Illinois: For positions covered under collective bargaining agreement completion of hospital approved training program and minimum of four years at the Mechanic I level will be considered in lieu of license/certification.

Pay Range:

$22.05 - $33.08

A successful candidates actual pay rate will be based on several factors including relevant experience skills training certifications and education.
