Description
Positions assigned to this class assist in various areas of the Parks and Recreation Department. This could include volunteering in the parks recreation programs Senior Services Multi-Generational Center and/or recreation programming. This is a volunteer position and does not offer any compensation.
Essential Duties

Time Commitment: 3-5 hours per week or as assigned
Days of Work Week: Monday-Friday
Hours:9am-3pm
Age:16 years of age and older
Location:1035 N. Idaho Road Apache Junction AZ 85119Minimum Qualifications
Previous experience and knowledge of parks and recreation activities and facilities. Volunteers eighteen (18) years of age or older who are accepted for the assignment will be required to successfully complete a criminal background report.

Knowledge
- Communicate clearly and concisely (both verbally and in writing)
- Knowledge of City and department procedures policies and guidelines
- Convey a positive friendly attitude work pleasantly with staff patrons and other volunteers.
- Understand and follow written and verbal instructions policies and procedures; receive instruction from Parks and Rec staff
- Work congenially with staff patrons and other volunteers
- Ability to lift and move objects as needed
